Hi. The sentence "(...) has been held for 100 years since 1905 (...)" is somewhat misleading, since it gives the impression that the tournament has been in fact held 100 times. That is not the case, as it was not held several times, during World War I and World War II, not to mention the year 1986, when it was not held in order for the 1987 edition to take place in January (although when calculating the actual number of editions, one must remember that it was held 2 times in one year: 1977). I suggest that the sentence in question be altered to: "was held for the first time in 1905, making it 100 years old as of 2005". Any objections and/or other suggestions? Hana Mandlikova[edit]

Hana Mandlikova's victory in the 1987 Open was achieved previous to gaining her Australian citizenship and thus, she should not be considered the last Australian to have won the title.

Seems like an advertisement[edit]

Seems fair to mention the sponsor, but this seems like an advertisement. But since I'm not properly an editor, I thought I'd just mention it for someone with more experience to adjust to the rest of the entry.

Chinese Sponsor, Global Flavor In 2019, Luzhou Laojiao, a Chinese liquor brand, signed an agreement to become the largest Chinese sponsor in the history of the Australian open.As the first baijiu brand to cooperate with a grand slam event, Luzhou Laojiao · Guojiao 1573 will further enrich the diversity of the Australian open food experience, and at the same time will spread China's unique baijiu etiquette and culture to the Australian open fans around the world through the Australian open. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 07:04, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
